A morning at the Central Market

We’ll start where Alicante comes alive every day: the Central Market. Built in the early 20th century and full of colour, it’s a feast for the senses. Stalls are piled high with fresh fruit, vegetables, seafood, sausages, cheeses, almonds and dates. This is where locals shop, meet, and share their stories.

Along the way, you’ll enjoy 10 different tastings of local bites — from cured sausages and tuna to cheeses, almonds and seasonal fruits. Each taste is more than food; it’s a piece of Alicante’s history and landscape on your plate.

From flavours to history

After the market, we’ll walk into the old town. Here, narrow streets and lively plazas show you another side of the city. Your guide will share the stories that shaped Alicante — tales of trade, tradition, and the Mediterranean way of life.

Between bites and sips, you’ll also enjoy three glasses of local wine, beer or non-alcoholic drinks, discovering why Alicante’s wines are gaining international recognition.
